The Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the two full-size SUV model lines of General Motors, the other is the GMC Yukon. The origin of the Chevy Tahoe can be traced to early 1990, when GM first released in two different size SUVs, the Chevy Blazer and GMC Jimmy. In 1992, Jimmy was rebadged to become what is now known as the Yukon, it made the game very differently in terms of sales numbers. Chevrolet waited until 1994 before packing the Blazer, the refurbishment of the four-door full-size SUV and rebadged as the Chevrolet Tahoe.

In 1998 the growing demand for sport utility vehicles, which are more comfortable calling GM to luxury versions of its current SUV lineup to create. Chevrolet came up with a more luxurious version of the Tahoe called the LTZ. There are also versions of both the Tahoe and Yukon who have longer wheelbases, the Suburban and Yukon XL.

As the 2010 model year introduced the Chevrolet Tahoe is considered one of the most reliable SUV currently on the market. And the release of the Tahoe Hybrid, the Tahoe was one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs, can reach 22mpg. Of the large SUVs, the Tahoe is the competition is the Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia and Nissan Armada in the gas-driven market, and the hybrids, the Mercedes GL-Class, the BMW X6 Hybrid and own Yukon GM Hybrid and Escalade Hybrid.

In design, the Tahoe takes a part of the design elements in the traditional SUVs, and then upgrades to fit the more modern tastes of today’s consumers. In 2007, GM engineers were successful in providing a unique look for the Chevy Tahoe, making it a completely different look than other SUVs offered by GM, like the Cadillac Escalade. Although there are still many similarities between the Yukon and Tahoe, in terms of appearance, they look very similar, their only difference is in the front. The Chevy Tahoe has a double grille split horizontally in the middle of them is the Chevrolet emblem, and flanked on both sides by large, square headlights. This is the signature design elements in almost all Chevrolet models.

The Tahoe is made of glass and sheet metal work is exceptional, subtle flaring the fenders, and only a few of the cut lines give the Tahoe a very clean and sophisticated look. The hybrid version goes a notch higher by improving aerodynamics and reducing the weight in both performance and improve mileage.

The Tahoe has excellent interiors. There is a wide trim on top of the dashboard, this gives illusion of a larger space. The meters are highly visible and well marked, framing this is the big wheel. The Tahoe has a wide center console that provides enough space for a secondary controls are well marked, it also houses additional LCD display in the hybrid version. The robust coating fits the basic model of the Tahoe, while the interior of the LTZ model looks like it comes from a German luxury sedan.
