Press releases are still an important tool for businesses, nonprofit organizations, government and social action groups on the Web.Some pre-internet communication forms as easily translated into web publications. It is easy to add a press release to your website or blog. You can even post them in forums on the Web to drum up discussion on the topic. A press release to announce anything of value, be it an event, a new release, a change, a promotion, or whatever it is, you must make sure it is well written, interesting, and reach your target audience.

The strange thing is that few people press their actual release to the press. In case of large companies, government agencies or large NGOs have generally low coverage of press in mainstream media. For your press release to be effective, make sure you send it to the correct journalists, editors, magazine reporters, bloggers and other writers for publication, with a broad audience. This could mean finding the e-mail from the Small Business editor of your local newspaper or any newspaper reporters who beat in the country. It depends mainly on your client, or if you do it yourself, your audience. However, if you do not go to the press release by the various people that news coverage will be just another post on the internet. It is doubtful those same reporters will look for your uninvited press release.

If you work regularly with press releases, will they need to create custom mailing lists for distribution to their creation. If you have multiple clients, some of the contacts can overlap, but many will differ only to the individual campaign. So you will get a customized list of the reporters, editors, webmasters and bloggers before you send the press release, otherwise you’ll be doing from the beginning every time. If you build these lists when browsing the web and doing other work, over time you can find lists of hundreds of good sources who work in the area and can re the details of your press release in their newspaper, magazine or blogs.

If you really seeking publicity for a client or website, you can also press releases to news outlets and TV watching a reference to promote a specialized report or market analysis. This usually works well for new gadgets and software releases, but it depends on the weight of the information and product involved. Another way to get your press release read, videotaped and then posted on a video hosting site like YouTube or others. The budget of the account in question will determine whether it is a very manufactured script or a guerilla marketing campaign. These are just some of the things to consider when writing a press release, the important thing to remember is networking.

Create A Blog of 3 Column

1. Getting Started: Go to Blogger.com and click Find Now Create your own blog. The username and password you choose, sign you later change your blog. On the ‘Name your blog’ screen, give your blog a title and click the Advanced Blog Setup. Reenter the blog’s name and provide the address of the FTP server of your site, FTP and FTP path (the folder where your blog, including links to be published). If you do not have this information, ask your web hosting service. Your best bet is to get your blog published in a special folder. For example, if your website’s FTP folder were “public_html”, you could set your FTP path to public_html / blog to avoid overwriting existing files in the server directory of your website. Finally, enter a filename (eg index.html) and a URL (eg http://mywebsite.com/blog). You can upload the HTML and image files meant for your blog on an FTP server. (Some other blog-creation tools like Movable Type, require you to set up a separate database on a server, but Blogger does not have such requirements.) 2. Find the look you want: Once you have the name of your blog, you must choose a template pattern to the layout. Remember always that you can later switch to another template design. If you feel comfortable working with HTML, you can change default Blogger templates, or you can complete an original look for your blog. Scott Bauer Span’s “Instant Web Sites” feature (January 2004) contains a sample blog template, and instructions for editing templates on Blogger.com.

Friendster is All the Rage as it Goes Asian

When Friendster was first launched in 2002, the site seems to be one of the rapid rise of social networking sites in the United States.However, when users began to migrate to other larger social networks, namely Facebook and Myspace, Friendster can only be remembered by Americans as just another run-of-the-mill social website.

While the success of Friendster in the U.S. is a ‘one-time hit, so to speak, the reality is that the site had not completely pulled down.The only difference is that Friendster caters to a more global market, rather than focusing on just focused on the American public. Kent Lindstrom, president of Friendster, states that “most of the world outside the U.S.”

The company, which operates one million in venture capital, remains confident, despite the severe competition from social networking sites in Asia. According to rankings released by Web tracker Alexa, Friendster was considered the top social networking site in Southeast Asia. It is believed that the Philippines and Indonesia substantially contribute to the increasing success of Friendster. In fact, in the Philippines alone, three of the five Internet surfers at least a Friendster account. Same web tracker indicates that the site is the second most visited Internet domain in Singapore and Malaysia. General, Asia contributes to 89% of web traffic to Friendster, as opposed to only 17% coming from residents of North America.

Friendster’s popularity in Asia, the company had not planned initially, probably due to the geography and demography. However, the location of their new office in San Francisco, when the company moved from Mountain View, paved the way for Asians about Friendster. When the Asian-American Californians in the area started inviting friends and relatives in Asia, the social network rapidly expanded. And although the non-English version of the site was not initially available and in fact, has recently, Friendster was able to millions of users across the Pacific to draw.

Friendster was an advantage, not only for business but also for the users. Take Karen Kong, a Malaysian pop singer who drew two million viewers right after her concert video on their profile page is loaded.
